SD Card - What is an SD Memory Card?
An SD Memory Card (Secure Digital Card) is an IC (Integrated Circuit) which is stored in a compact and rugged plastic enclosure. SD Cards were designed to store data, images, photos and music and enable the transfer of this data between devices equipped with SD Card slots.
Current SD Card capacities now range considerably but typically 1Gb to 4Gb.

An SD Memory Card is 32mm long, 24mm wide, and 2.1mm thick, and incorporate a lock-switch to write protect your data
Typical devices which can use SD Memory cards are digital cameras, camcorders, cell phones, Sat-Navs, MP3 players, and PDAs.
The SD card is also used in popular video game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii.
An SD memory card can be used to store Wii-related data such as game save information, certain data from the Wii Channel applications, and to transfer compatible data (such as digital photos and MP3s) to the Wii console from other devices.
